Not at all, in fact women make up a higher percentage of our client base.
Who would benefit from the type of treatment you provide?
Everyone, our therapists have treated clients ranging in age from 5 years old to those in there 90’s. Anatomically we all have similar dysfunctions, our body type, occupation, age, sport and other activities will determine what degree those dysfunctions have developed to.
What do I wear for my treatment?
In general, massage is given while you are undressed, but wearing underpants. Draping with towels will be used during your treatment with only areas being worked on being uncovered.
Does it hurt?
You may experience some pain and/or discomfort during your treatment, this is normal as areas that have been contributing to your presenting issue are located and treated. Everyone’s pain thresholds vary so your body language and vocals are important indicators that your therapist will monitor so they can adjust their pressure accordingly.
What can I expect during a treatment?
Our therapists use a comprehensive range of remedial techniques, stretches and passive movements specific to rectifying your presenting condition as quickly as possible. The treatment format used by our therapists has come about due to thousands of clinical hours and successful outcomes and targets the cause of the issue not just the symptoms.
At times during your treatment you may hear a popping sound and feel some movement, this is grade four Mobilization and occurs as restrictions within the musculoskeletal system give way, restoring the body’s range of motion and structural integrity.
What happens after the treatment?
Generally you will feel a significant improvement post treatment, some clients will feel energised others may feel lethargic. At times there may be some muscle soreness, mild bruising and increased awareness of other areas of pain, These are possible temporary outcomes that generally subside within 24 to 48 hours.
Cupping - Do you do it and how does it work?
Yes, Cupping is one of many modalities we use in our treatments, when necessary.
Cupping has been used for thousands of years, mostly by the Chinese to enhance the body’s healing.
In today’s allied health industries, cupping is used to draw the body’s tissue up through suction, therefore stretching it in the opposite direction from which our pressure is applied in massage.
This does two things;
1. The cupping stretches the restricted tissue.
2. The cupping draws stale, oxygen-depleted blood to the skin’s surface, allowing oxygen-enriched blood to flood the area, resulting in quicker muscle healing and fast recovery.
If I don’t have private health insurance, how much will it cost?
All therapists have a different rate. For prices please refer to each therapist’s bio.
What happens if I am running late?
If you’re going to be more than 5 minutes late please call 02 9520 6653 and let a staff member know. If no one answers, please leave a voice message stating your name, appointment time and how late you will be.
Can I cancel my appointment?
– Yes, however if you cancel or reschedule with less than 12 hours notice, you may incur a 50% charge of your booked appointment fee.
– Missed appointment, full charge 100% of your booked appointment fee.
– If you are late for your appointment, you will be charged for the time that you have initially booked.

How can I purchase a gift certificate?
Gift certificates are available for purchase in our clinic only. You may choose the amount you wish to put on the Gift Certificate. Health fund rebates are not applicable when purchasing gift certificates.
Do I get appointment reminders?
Yes, we send out appointment reminders 24 hours before and 1 hour before you appointment.
Do I need to fill out forms?
Only new clients have to fill out forms. We recommend all new clients arrive 5 minutes before your appointment to begin filling in the forms.
